It’s now 4 years ago since I released Scribble Racer. It got a lot of updates and improvements during the years. For me, it was quite a success. Not the mega blockbuster, but with more than 450,000 downloads it was not that bad for a one-man indie game developer like me. Based on much feedback I got from you I now have new ideas how to make Scribble Racer even better. It’s time to create a sequel: Scribble Racer 2!
First of all I try to keep the cool things from the original Scribble Racer. It should be easy to pick up, great for kids but in normal and hard mode also challenging for everyone else. I also want to keep the quality of the music which suited very well IMHO.
But I want to improve what I think wasn’t that good in Scribble Racer. I think there definitely was a lack of replay value. Once you made a great high score you could hardly reach again there was no more reason to play on. In Scribble Racer 2 you will find reasons – fun reasons 🙂
From time to time you will unlock new levels. Everytime you play, you will proceed and get a step closer to the next level.
Each level will come with new drawings. And drawings are the new key feature in Scribble Racer 2.
You wonder what these drawings are? You will know in a minute:
Basically a drawing is a new track. But it’s not an endless track as you know from the original Scribble Racer, it’s a track you can finish. And once you finish such a drawing-track the trace you have drawn will reveal in the outlines of a nice drawing.
So now, after you created the outlines by finishing the drawing-track, you can pick colors and paint it to make it a really unique piece of art which you can share and get likes and that finally will be placed on your main tracks instead of the placeholders.
I hope, you like what you see till now! It will still take some time before Scribble Racer 2 is ready for launch. If you want to make sure to get notified as soon as Scribble Racer 2 is available, follow me on Facebook: facebook.com/pixelclash-games
